An Air Handling Unit (AHU) is a critical component of an HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) system designed to regulate and circulate air within a building or facility. It is commonly used in commercial, industrial, and residential applications to maintain indoor air quality and thermal comfort.
The AHU takes in outside or return air, filters and conditions it (cooling, heating, or humidifying as needed), and then distributes it through ductwork to different spaces. The system can also include energy recovery mechanisms to enhance efficiency.
AHUs play a vital role in maintaining air quality, temperature, and humidity, ensuring comfort and energy efficiency in HVAC systems.
